Lifelong learning is a Sanctuary commitment Glade Run Lutheran Services encompasses. It is recognized that internships/practicums, student teaching, and shadowing/observation experiences are an important educational opportunity for individuals as they allow students to develop their professional skills while gaining an understanding of the inner-workings of Glade Run.
All internships/practicums, student teaching, and shadowing/observation experiences must be affiliated with a college or university and/or an educational focused program. Otherwise, we encourage interested individuals to apply for a volunteer experience through our Volunteers Page.
Glade Run accepts and reviews applications and requests on an ongoing basis. See below for the process for each type of request.
Internship/Practicum Requests: Students must complete an Internship/Practicum Application. *Internships/Practicums must be a requirement of a school or degree program to be considered. Typically, applications take at least two weeks to process but we will be in touch with a decision either way. If we are able to accommodate a request, we will require the following: a formal interview, submission of original PA State Police, Child Abuse History, and FBI clearances (all of which must be dated within one year of the internship start date), proof of Professional Liability insurance (Master’s level applicants only), an Affiliation Agreement with the university, as well as some additional onboarding forms. We also require students to attend a 2-day orientation at our Zelienople campus before officially beginning their internship hours at their assigned location.
PLEASE NOTE: We are no longer accepting applications for licensed supervision required Fall 2024 internships.
