Specialized Adventures Camp

We will be unable to hold our June 2020 camp session due to COVID-19 restrictions. However, we are looking forward to our August camp session!

A social skills development camp for individuals ages 8 – 18. Any child in need of social skill development is welcome, however, the camp is specially designed for children with moderate to high functioning Autism Spectrum Disorders. This is not an ESY Camp but may be covered for some school districts as ESY.  The camp runs Monday-Friday 9am-3pm. An online camp application can be found by scrolling to the bottom of the page.

St. Stephen’s Extended School Year

St. Stephen’s Lutheran Academy utilizes Glade Run Adventures experiential education activities for students attending ESY​.​​ These ​uniquely tailored activities​, such as therapeutic horseback riding, horticulture, and small animal experiences​ engage students with social skill challenges. Student IEP goals are targeted, monitored and reported to school districts. Camp runs Monday-Thursday 9am-1:30pm.

    All campers with seizure precautions require medical history clearance from physician for mounted activities.
    If child takes medication during summer camp hours, the attending physician's written instructions must be submitted at the start of camp with medication provided in a sealed and labeled Ziploc bag. Staff will not administer medication; camper must self-administer with staff supervision.
