Group Therapy

Group therapy is a form of psychotherapy in which one or more therapists treat a small group together.

Unlike individual therapy sessions, group therapy offers participants the opportunity to interact with others with similar issues in a safe, supportive environment. Participants can try out new behaviors, role play, and engage with others in not only receiving valuable feedback and insight from other group members, but also in giving it.

Types of Groups

Glade Run Beaver Falls is offering an Adult Grief & Loss Group beginning on Thursday, March 10th, 2016. Interested parties should contact Sara Jayroe, Outpatient Admissions Coordinator.

Adult Grief & Loss Group

The purpose of this group is to create a safe environment for people to express their feelings of grief and of mourning; this will hopefully enable them to reconcile feelings of loss and to begin to find meaning in living life again. The grief and educational support will offer coping tools and hope to begin the difficult process of establishing their life without their loved one.

Led by our own Chrissy Staggers – Outpatient Therapist.

This group will be 8 sessions/weeks in length. The first session will be on Thursday, March 10th, 2016 and the last session will be on Thursday, April 28th.

We will meet at 5:00 – 6:30 PM on Thursdays at Glade Run’s Beaver Falls office.

This group is limited to 10 participants. Please inquire for more details and eligibility.
