Zelienople, PA, October 8, 2015.

On October 7, Glade Run Lutheran Services was notified by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) of its decision to propose the revocation of one of our four residential treatment facility (RTF) licenses as a result of of alleged events involving that unit. We have appealed this decision and our appeal has been accepted by the DHS. We have retained legal counsel to assist us through this process.

Contrary to media reports, Glade Run Lutheran Services is not closing. Glade Run’s continuum of service stretches across Western PA and includes residential, in-home, in-community, and school based mental health, autism, and educational offerings to over 4,000 individuals annually. For 161 years, Glade Run has served traumatized youth and their families, epitomizing through our daily work the values to which we remain committed. Never in our history has the agency received any disruption of licensing or service delivery.
