St. Stephen’s Recognized for PBIS Program


On May 27 and 28, St. Stephen’s Academy sent five educators to the annual PBIS Implementer’s Forum in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

This year’s conference had over 1300 educators in attendance from schools throughout our great state. St. Stephen’s was recognized for the second consecutive year for implementing it Positive Behavior Intervention and Support program (PBIS) with fidelity at the Tier 1 level by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Additionally, St. Stephen’s was selected to be one of the premiere schools to present on its program implementation to a group of over 200 educators. Mr. Chuck Wilson, Ms. Valerie Masters, Ms. Amber Hicks, Mr. Ted Orlowski, and Mr. Keenan McGaughey presented on the topic of: Tier Three Implementation: A Focus on Extreme Behavior, Trauma and Mental Health.

We are extremely proud knowing that we have a dedicated staff that is committed to helping every child learn, grow, and heal. St. Stephen’s has continued to create new molds of program excellence. Having the ability to educate others on our programming to help them better serve their children is an incredible feeling.
